This medium ship model is a replica of the world's last intact clipper ship, the Cutty Sark, now preserved in dry dock at Greenwich, London.
Long, lean and beautiful, the Cutty Sark was built in 1869 for the tea trade but was made redundant by the completion of the Suez Canal, which made steam ships more economical. Instead, she earned her living, and incredible reputation for speed, in the long distance wool trade (from Australia).
Supplied completely assembled ready for display (length 30cm).
• Please note, this ship model is not a toy and is not suitable for children under 3 years of age
