Letterpress classic Shipping Forecast print by artisanal printer Flowers & Fleurons is a beautiful representation of the list of the sea areas covered by the Shipping Forecast, the iconic weather report broadcast daily by the BBC on behalf of the Meteorological Office. In blue, green and dark turquoise ink this will make a fine addition to anywhere you wish to display.

  • Printed in the UK on paper made in a wind-powered paper mill

The list has been printed in an artisanal workshop in the UK using the craft process of letterpress which dates back to the 15th century. Firstly the printer skilfully arranges individual lead characters (type) into a composition. Next the type is coated with freshly mixed ink and then, using a vintage press of a generally curmudgeon temperament, the type is pressed into the paper to make this iconic product.
