Spring in Japan is known for cherry blossom trees coming into bloom. Cherry blossom viewing, or Hanami, is a traditional Japanese celebration of this beautiful sight. Cherry blossom trees usually bloom from the end of March to the beginning of April. The blooming period is very short, only one to two weeks. In this image, the Milky Way shines between the cherry blossom trees.
