Most maps show the ocean as ‘the blue between the green’, but what happens when you focus on the blue? Seeing the world through a fish’s eyes reveals coral reefs instead of cities, seagrass meadows in place of forests and ocean basins instead of continents. Even things on land, like volcanoes and waterfalls, can be found underwater!

The Ocean Map flips our view of Earth to put the ocean first. Along the way, it splashes into big questions about how the ocean shapes human lives, the creatures that depend on it and how the things we do on and above the waves have an impact too.

Packed with vibrant illustrations, curious facts and animals from deep-sea trenches to mangrove forests, this book is for explorers who want to dive into our wonderful ocean and learn how to protect it.
