In 2025, the Royal Observatory Greenwich celebrates its 350th anniversary. Founded by Charles II in 1675 to solve the problem of finding longitude at sea and save sailors’ lives, the Royal Observatory Greenwich also became the home of Greenwich Mean Time and the Prime Meridian, making it one of the most important historic scientific sites in the world.

The cover design features our Royal Observatory 350 logo. The symbol depicts a 350 numeral. It also reflects other themes associated with the Royal Observatory: the crescent moon, a telescope and looking into outer space. Our team is very small and we work on dispatching orders in date order, as they are received. Only orders that have FedEx shipping applied can be shipped as priority.

We cannot promise delivery for Christmas where orders are placed after our last order dates shown below. Royal Museums Greenwich cannot accept responsibility for late delivery.
