Product details

View of Greenwich from One Tree Hill by Johannes Vorsterman, about 1680, oil on canvas.
After his restoration to the throne in 1660, Charles II transformed the landscape and architecture of royal Greenwich. The park was remodelled and the Queen's House transformed, with additional bridge rooms linking the north and south wings across the public roadway. The sun breaking through the clouds over the newly completed Royal Observatory (on the left) symbolises a prosperous new dawn for the Stuart era.
Our Custom Prints and frames are all handmade to the highest standards. As each Custom Print and frame is made to your required specification, they take a little longer to prepare.
