This model ship is a replica of the world's last intact clipper ship, the CuttySark, now preserved in dry dock at Greenwich, London.
Long, lean and beautiful, the CuttySark was built in 1869 for the tea trade but was made redundant by the completion of the Suez Canal, which made steam ships more economical. Instead, she earned her living, and incredible reputation for speed, in the long distance wool trade (from Australia).
Please note, this model ship is not a toy and is not suitable for children under 3 years of age
