Product details
Astronomy Photographer of the Year is an annual competition featuring the world’s greatest space photography. Photographers from across the globe compete to take home the prestigious title.
When the Funakawa River was renovated in 1957, about 280 Yoshino cherry trees, 1,200 m on both banks of the embankment, were planted by the locals and have been carefully maintained for many years.
In the old days, heavy rains often flooded rivers. Therefore, by planting cherry blossoms on the embankment, many people come to see the cherry blossoms every year and naturally step on the embankment to create soil that can withstand flooding. - Takanobu Kurosaki
Our Custom Prints and frames are all handmade to the highest standards. As each Custom Print and frame is made to your required specification, they take a little longer to prepare. Custom Prints are printed on sustainable, matt 250gsm conservation digital paper. Unframed prints are carefully rolled with acid free tissue paper inside a sturdy cardboard tube. Frames are made in the UK from sustainably-sourced woods.
Custom Prints (those which are customised by choosing a size and frame) are made to order and therefore take a little longer than our standard fulfilment times. Please read our Delivery and Returns page for our latest information about UK and international shipping.
Please check the size and frame options carefully so that you are happy as once ordered we will be unable to change.
Every purchase supports the work of Royal Museums Greenwich.
