"Wales is a great place for stargazing with much of the country being rural with dark skies. One of the darkest regions is Eryri (Snowdonia). This photo was taken at Dolbadarn Castle, a late 12th century castle located above Llanberis in the heart of Eryri. The Core of the Milky Way can be seen rising behind the castle and the Snowdon mountain range. A small light was placed in the castle to add an atmospheric glow. The final photo consists of a stack of 25 shots of 120 seconds for the sky and 10 shots of 45 seconds for the ground. The camera was used to track the stars for the sky shots. Both stacks were processed with Starry Landscape Stacker and then blended and enhanced using Photoshop and Lightroom." Robert Price
