Astronomy Photographer of the Year is an annual competition featuring the world’s greatest space photography. Photographers from across the globe compete to take home the prestigious title.

"At new moon in April 2023, I headed up to the Norfolk coast to Snettisham Beach, famous for its vast tidal mudflats that attract migrating birds in staggering numbers.  My foreground subject for the evening was the large dilapidated jetty, which was built in the Second World War to allow gravel extracted from the nearby pits to be moved by boat, destined to help build the concrete runways needed to support the American bombers being stationed in the UK. I was accompanied all night by the incredible sound of the birds out on the flats - they never ceased and it was a fantastic soundtrack to the crystal clear night. I named this image "Serpentine" as I love the curved channel in the mudflat, mirroring the trailing stars, and the wonderful scaly texture of the mudcracks." Paul Haworth

Our Custom Prints and frames are all handmade to the highest standards. As each Custom Print and frame is made to your required specification, they take a little longer to prepare. Custom Prints are printed on sustainable, matt 250gsm conservation digital paper. Unframed prints are carefully rolled with acid free tissue paper inside a sturdy cardboard tube. Frames are made in the UK from sustainably- sourced woods.

Custom Prints (those which are customised by choosing a size and frame) are made to order and therefore take a little longer than our standard fulfilment times. Please read our Delivery and Returns page for our latest information about UK and international shipping.

Custom Prints cannot be sent via our FedEx delivery service option.

Please check the size and frame options carefully so that you are happy as once ordered we will be unable to change.
