Generally excellent

This book is generally excellent for beginners, but goes perhaps too deeply into constellations. Fewer with more depth of information might be better.

A glaring omission is advice on how to choose a telescope. It suggests joining a local astronomy group for this. Although this is of course good advice, it may not be an option for some in remote areas - paradoxicallylikely to be "dark sky" areas which best for observations!

Thank you for your review! We are glad that you found the book to be an excellent starting point, and we appreciate your feedback on the constellation coverage – striking the right balance is so important. Your point about telescope advice is well taken also regarding more guidance on choosing one. This would be especially valuable for readers in remote, dark-sky areas where observation opportunities are prime. Thanks again for sharing your insights – it helps us continue to improve!

This is just what I was looking for to introduce myself to this subject. Well illustrated, with clear explanations. Recommended.
